Old Dominion University employs more than 1,600 faculty and staff, making it one of the largest employers in Hampton Roads. Whether you look at freshly manicured lawns, polished floors or attentive and friendly service, Old Dominion staff members make their mark every day. Faculty, meanwhile, earn high marks in a variety of categories. The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, for example, annually recognizes faculty excellence at the state's 70 public and private colleges and universities. Old Dominion professors have captured 15 of these honors since 1991.
